This site costs me quite a few dollars a year
to maintain and I may have to cut back drastically in the next few months as it
has outgrown my limited budget. If you feel inclined, please click on the SECURE
means above and
donate a small sum to my account. I help many hundreds of people per year with
enquiries and get nothing in return. The time approaches when it may not be here
as it stands unless people donate
"Of
all the branches of men in the Forces, there is none which shows more devotion
and faces grimmer perils than the submariner.
Great deeds are done in the air
and on the land; nevertheless, nothing surpasses your exploits." Winston
Churchill.

attack does a submarine reveal herself, before creeping away to the concealment

I belong to several football forums, and the kids today use the term "heroes" and "legend" in relation to overpaid, highly childish footballers. Oh yes, they have talent, and I am a football fan nonetheless BUT "heroes" ? These pages and those of my own personal hero, Capt Walker RN, paint a picture of what REAL HEROES look like, their subs and their very difficult lives in pursuit of their goal, victory over Germany and the destruction of enemy shipping. So, if you are one of those fans, take a read of these pages then tell me that X player of X team is a hero or spoilt brat? The individual subs are linked to their own page below.
